The interpretation of this American songbook classic is another unique variation from familiar renditions: The form was re-harmonized and extended for a Flügelhorn solo played by Nolan Shaheed. Joey Heredia created an enticing drum pattern that possesses the dramatic nuances of a New Orleans march and that compliments Trey Henry’s moody bass in the intro and his syncopated patterns in the verse and bridge. These killer grooves are complimented by steel string acoustics by Greg Porée that were used to create dissonant pads for Frances’ playful interpretation of these whimsical but clever lyrics.

This is just a little samba, built upon a single note
