about

Candy’s Caravan is a unique blend of Nu-Jazz, electronica and pop. It is almost like a short Burlesque piece staged by David Lynch – reminiscent of artists like Portishead and Annie Lennox, mixed with a bit of the band Everything but the Girl. The song has got a strong narrative and vivid imagery. It features two characters with different perspectives, the narrator Frances and the hooker Candy. This piece reflects Frances’ theatre background, her joy of juggling words and phrases and her experience in the field of experimentation and electronica.
