Frances Livings brings a playful approach to this tune by the French songwriters Keren Ann and Benjamin Biolay. The acoustic guitar compliments the vocals with tasteful, atmospheric counter lines, while the piano and bass fill out the rest of the track. The effect is light, uplifting and very danceable. The percussion creates an overall feel of a very nice Beguine or cha-cha in a moderate tempo. A bandoneon provides a wonderful texture throughout the track. Made popular in contemporary music by Astor Piazolla, this concertina like instrument originated in Germany and became extremely popular in Argentinian Tango music by the early 1900’s.
