“For me, 'Aganjú' is not only a lovely song with a very special atmosphere but it is also a special track for a few other reasons: One is, that I trusted my gut that the track just wasn’t done. But before we took it off the record, I thought, let’s just try harder! Going into the studio again with fresh ideas and a new player, the flautist and saxophonist Robert Kyle, showed yet again, how much dedication and devotion it really takes on all levels to be a performing and recording artist.” ~ Frances Livings

Sexy, danceable and mysterious are the words that come to mind in listening to this track. The cajon (by Sandro Feliciano) and the electric bass (by Isaias Elpes) immediately set the atmosphere. This is followed by Robert Kyle’s subdued alto flute ad libs and Frances’ evocative whispering of the first verse. After that the track becomes a wonderful conversation between the vocals and the wood winds over a very infectious Nu jazz groove.
